The railway station building was constructed in 1891. In its close vicinity, on the other side of the tracks, a massive, outstanding, two-storey Military Railway Directorate building was built. By its appearance, it was similar to the Grammar school building.
After Austro-Hungarian occupation, the Vakuf administration building was made in the part of Ferhadija’s yard, by the Czar’s Road, and the Muslim reading-room –  Kiraethana was located there.
