Pozdrav iz Banjaluke!

After the discussions led by both philologists and historians, it was found out that the name of the town did not come from banja – meaning spa, that is ilidža, but from the adjective: banj – banov, (viceroy’s), which disappeared from our language long time ago, it was only kept in the name of the town, and the noun luka was added to that adjective, which means plain, in other words the whole name of the town comes from the name viceroy’s plain.
